My best holidays!

Hello classmates!

Today I' am going to write about my best holidays. I travelled to the Patagonia Argentina in the summer of 2014. I travelled together whit my parent, my sister, and his husband. It was a experience incredible, because the landscape seemed beautiful. It was surrounded of araucarias. Also the weather was fantastic for me, because I love the wind and the rain.

We were two days in San Martín de Los Andes and 5 days in Bariloche. In San Martín, we see a carnival very attractive. Paraded the "Gauchos", the doctors, disabled, hip hop dancer, etc.

In Bariloche we buy many clothes and ate very much grilled meat.

The most fascinating of this holiday was the nature and share with my family.

I like so much this picture, because I think that it´s a beautiful picture. Fascinates me the different green tonalities that appear in the picture. Also, I took it! :) 

There are many interesting countries I would like to meet, but the places that are more appealing to me are in others continents. One place I've always dreamed to visit is the African savannah, because I am a fan of animals and nature. Also, I would love to visit New Zealand, because it is a very beautiful country. It has amazing landscapes.

well, I like to travel a lot for the world, but so far I've only met two of our neighboring countries, Argentina and Peru. But soon I hope to raise a lot of money and make all travel to countries that would like to know. I like to travel alone or with a family member, or one of my best friends. It would be very special and unique for me... :)

My autobiography

My name is Bernardita Soto. I am 22 years old.
I am a student of Geography at the University of Chile.
I live in Santiago city, but I come from of Coya. It's a town, located in the skirt mountain of the Rancagua city.

My parent live in Coya, but I go to visit almost every weekend. My father is Patricio and my mother is Mirta. Also I have one sister. Her name is Patricia. In reality, I miss them all so much.

During my free time I like to ride a bicycle, and I go to Rancagua city every weekend to visit to my family and my friends. Also I like to travel and  know different places. Most of the time I travel with my sister. During the holidays we travelled to the Patagonia Argentina.

English Language Challenge

Hello classmates!

How are you?  Well... This is my last post for English subject. I today I'm going to write about my knowledge of the English language.

I think that is very relevant learn English for our education and our future profesional. This language is a tool very important in the society at present, because open the doors for many opportunities to work, because is the predominant language in the world. However, I think that English is a very difficult language to learn, because is necessary to have a good knowledge base, and in my case, it was not,  even though also requires study and personal dedication.

When I entered to the University, I imagined that would be easier and entertained learn English, however has been terrible :( I would like to speak and to write in English, without problems.

Actually, my level of English is poor, and it worries me. An aspect that I would like to improve about my knowledge in this language is my vocabulary and my listening comprehension.  I want to follow my learning about English, but I need more practice. Therefore I have planned to study so much during the holidays.

Regarding this subject at the university, I think that the class hours are insufficient.

Personally, I think that use the English in the blogs is a good way for practice, because each person speak about any interesting topic, is original and a good way for meet people and share experiences and different opinions about some topics, is funny...

A Day to Remember

Well... I remember many important moments, but one of the happiest was when Ignacia was born.

She is my second cousin and is 7 years old. His mother is like one sister for me and when Ignacia was born she was 15 years old, so I and my whole family accompany her during the pregnancy. 

SOJA

Hello classmates. Today I'm going to write about my favorite band. 

Their name is SOJA, that mean "Soldiers of Jah Army". It's an american reggae band, formed in 1997 by high school friends. The names of band members are: Jacob Hemphill, who is the singer and guitarist, Bob Jefferson who play the bass guitar, Patrick O'Shea who play the keyboard, Ryan Berty who is the drummer, and Ken Brownell in the percussion. 

The principal thems of their sounds are the love, the politics, the religion and the environmental problems. I love their sounds, because its reflect the social problems. In reality I like all their sounds, but the ones I like the most are: True Love, Tell me, She's the woman, and Road to Paradise. 

Besides, I must recognize that I love the vocalist, because is very good-looking. 

David Harvey, a proponent of the idea of the right to the city.

Hello classmates! Today I' am going to write about David Harvey. He is an important social theorist and geographer. He is a distinguished professor of Anthropology and Geography at the Graduate Center of the City University of New York. He received his PhD in Geography from the University of Cambridge in 1961. Harvey wrote many books and essays that have been important in the development of modern geography as a discipline. He is a proponent of the idea of the right to the city, as well as a member of the Interim Committee for the emerging International Organization for a Participatory Society.
